Parker!
I found him on the OES Rescue Network's website, http://oesrescuenetwork.org/ . He is between 2-3 years old and is a mix between the OES and Great Pyrenees. He might be pretty big when he's fattened up a little.  He is a owner surrender, for whatever reason they did not want him. Here's what the foster mom says about him:
"I received your adoption application, thank you. Parker is a lover boy, very easy going and so sweet. Very gentle with children. He is good with other dogs and cats. I do have to feed him separate from the other dogs because he is a bit food aggressive, but only with other dogs, not with people. So I feed him away from the others and there is no problem. He is very large, 88 lbs. but very thin and we are working on this right now. He has been vetted, HW tested and is on Heartgard. He had his neuter last Thursday and is doing fine. He had only one descended testicle,so the surgery was more evasive. He has two small incisions but all his healing well. He needs a bath, but I have to wait until the stitches come out. I will do this on Sunday. You are certainly the perfect home for him. " He is currently in Tennessee and I'm going to meet up with him in Kansas City. There's another volunteer who's got personal business in Kansas City and she offered to give Parker a ride. I can't wait!!!!

His foster Mom (aka Ingrid) has had nothing but wonderful things to say about this guy. You are getting a wonderful addition to the family. Congrats and  to you for adopting one of our rescues. |

I NEED TO TEL YOU I WANTED HIM!!! but timing is off he looks just like my derby who i think is also a oes pyr mix and he is the sweeting rescue i ever had!!! if he doesn't work out put me on the list  |

Oh, I don't think that'll happen. I have been waiting for Parker a long long time! He sounds like the perfect fit for me and my household. AND I do not have to share him!!! (the three I have now I share with my ex) So this guy is all mine! |
 good luck derby is about 80pounds and doesn't look that big in the pics.. you will find the hair is alot easier to handle ..and derby is not as crazy as my other 2 oes can't wait to see more and hear more!!! |

I'm taking those as happy tears for me!  I checked out your pictures of Derby. I can see why you want Parker!!! Derby is absolutely adorable and Parker reminds me of him. After seeing your pictures I want Parker here today and now!! |
| Hi Parker's foster mom here
He is so laid back like the pyr and velcro like the OES What a sweet boy. Today I took his sutures out and he just laid there on the floor, first male I ever had that just loves his tummy rubs. He is a big guy now, you don't have to bend down to pet him 
He and my Marlowe are having a great time playing. Now that the stitches are out, I will take pictures of him. |

| I enjoyed following this thread, adopted a Pyr X OES pup from Tennessee in Summer, 2008 through "Big Fluffy Dog Rescue of TN". I'm very familiar with Pyrs, but still learning about OES'. "Grover" has been a great addition to our pyr family. |
