Males are a bit more laid back... in my opinion. They are also snugglebugs : ) Pepsi is always by my side or no more than 10 feet away from me.
I had a 4 year old male German Shepherd (Now at the Bridge due to Cancer) when I brought Pepsi (Male OES) into our home about 2 1/2 years ago. They were instantly the best of friends. Rags, our female OES is the ruler of house..... bossy and a bit moody , but a very sweet dog overall. She is definitely more high strung though. She adores her Daddy, the sun rises and sets in his eyes and she can't get enough of him. She loves her Mommy too, just not as much. That's okay because we have two other dogs who have to be near Mommy. |
elissa, sounds like my house i always have had girls but they are moody and love their daddy. derby is my frist boy he is a lover and very sweet and repects my 2 older girls |
Is your golden a male or female? It's sometimes easier to pick a pup of the opposite sex to what you already have. They may get along better. |
We seem to recommend males a lot, so I'm going to say "go for a female!! They're the best!" I may want a male dog when we go looking again, and I rather people be fighting for the females |
I have one of each and they are both great. You can not go wrong. |
Boomer is a male. Has good "friends" that are male and female.
