hmmm, I'm assuming there's no play right before bed. Maybe a gentle walk before bed to force air from his system. I remember my dogs had more problems with hiccups when they were younger, but it has disappeared with age. |

Jack get hiccups almost everyday. Annabelle gets them frequently as well. I have always heard it is because they are growing. LOL, I don't know if it is true or not. My parent used to tell me the same thing when I was a kid and had the hiccups.

Mopsey gets hiccups when she comes in running from the outside after play and drinks too fast. I heard that hiccups are not good, so I made her lie down, calm down, and then get another short drink of water, and they would go away. |
my vet told me when they are puppies their diaphram is very close to their stomachs which is why they hiccup. As they age the get farther apart which i've noticed the hiccupping is less frequent now at 8 months. |
I find this funny as my 7 month old had hiccups a few nights ago. I don't think any of my other dogs had this happen. |
