Not So Brave Without Her Brothers

I tried having London over here by herself at my new rent house and it was not working. Who knew that Miss Thing would be scared to death of shadows and just be totally miserable without her two big brothers, Sam & Lucky.

Example: I put her leash on her to take her for a walk. Once we got down off the porch my front yard is fairly dark and she saw the trash can sitting out by the curb. Her hair went up on the back of her neck and she started growling at the trash can. Once we got a little closer she sniffed and then ran behind me and was so scared she peed.

She did that a couple of times and it made me feel so horrid and guilty that I talked to Joe and went and brought her back over to his house. So now Friday's when I get off work I go and pick up all 3 of them and bring them back over here. All 3 stay for the weekend or normally until Sunday morning. I also get to go over to Joe's house and play with them whenever I want. So tomorrow afternoon after work I will go pick up all 3 and take them to the dog park. So far the moment we are sharing custody of our three kids.

I just never realized what a bond the three of them (especially London and Sam) have.

It is good that they have such a bond, but I am sorry that you have to be without a fuzzy.
That is amazing. I guess London was just so used to having the big boys around.
The fact that Sam and London are closer shouldn't be a surprise. We know that Lucky prefers the bassets!
I'm sorry Wynette.
I hope you get to see the dogs as much as you want.
How is she doing without you?
Maybe you could try to take Lucky?
Thats got to be hard for you Wynette :( Part of London's fear could also have just been unfamiliar surroundings though. Bert was SUCH a wuss in Fairbanks at first:roll: (did I mention scared of chickens??!) even though Abby was right there. She could also have been picking up on your sadness and distress. I hope that being able to go see all of them is working out ok for you. :ghug:
I'm sorry it didn't work for her to be with you full time. She really is attached to her brothers. I am glad, though, that you have been able to work out an arrangement with Joe so that you can share them.
Maybe when she gets a little braver on her visits to your new home then you can get her back full time. Hang in there Wynette - you are a good sheepie mom.
I think judi had a good idea...maybe the more you bring them over to your house to play...london may get used to the house more....i hope it works....sheepieless sucks!
Oh Wynette, that must be so very difficult. I hope that once she gets accustomed to the house she will be more comfortable, don't give up hope!!!!!!!!
I agree with everyone else. It's sad that London is had to explore new territory without some dear furfamily, but also good that things have worked out so she can see them again!
Hi Wyn,

(posted a few days ago but realized I then hit the wrong button afterwards so ...here goes again)

I'm sorry about London feeling a bit scared at her new place without her big brothers. Perhaps with them around on weekends now she will slowly start feeling more confident with her new surroundings and eventually in time may live 100% with you again.

Glad you were able to arrange some shared custody of the furkids however!

Miss you

Marianne
