I assume when you say "three", you mean three months?
Depending on what type of food you feed, and the weight of the puppy, that will help determine how much. I think my puppy at 6 months was eating two cups in the morning, 1 cup in the afternoon and two cups at night. Sometimes he would eat the afternoon meal and sometimes he wouldn't. he is now 9 months and weighs 82 pounds. He gets 2 cups in the morning and 2 in the evening. I am starting to switch him over to adult food. I've been introducing it slowly, mixing with the puppy food and now am feeding half and half mixed together. I'll switch him completely over during the next few weeks so that by about 10 months old he will be on adult. He was neutered in July and the vet told us we can start switching him over to adult and to start decreasing the treats! |
