Who has bought Halloween candy already?

What's your favorite?

I love halloween chocolate. so many good fillings inside. yummers!

This isn't exactly "halloween," but I also have a thing for colored oreo's. I usually don't buy them because I'm not a big fan, but when they're colored for Halloween, Christmas, and Easter... they taste SO GOOD to me. I have no idea why. I know it's the same dang cookie. I ate a whole row tonight.

None yet.
Ate some Nutter Butters though - yum. Dunked in milk, of course.

My favorite halloween candy are the snack sized candy bars. And also the candy corn.
Haven't bought any yet, will only buy a little since we will be out trick or treating ourselves. This will be Daddy's first trick or treat he was home for in like two or three years. My favorite candy though is the sweettarts in the roll........yummy... My son won't even eat very much of his candy. We usually have a bag of it somewhere in the kitchen until like Easter, then I throw it out, lol.
I'm so glad he gets to be home with the family this year :) What a treat to see your son dressed up!!
I bought a bag of candy corn the other day--but just because I love them so much, not because of Halloween (although I guess because they only come around at this time, they are technically H. candy).

My husband came home last night with this weird coffin-shaped box that is filled with gummy candy shaped like eye balls and other gross things. He was so stoked by it
I love those mallowcreme pumpkins (the pumpkins that are made out candy corn-like stuff but a little squishier). Those are my favorites. My mom always feels the need to buy about 12 tons of Halloween candy the day after Halloween and drop it off at my house. She can't resist the deal and doesn't want to eat it herself so she tries to fatten up my sister, me and our husbands!
I was mighty tempted yesterday, but managed to resist. I'm still (unsuccessfully) trying to take off a few mommy pounds. If I can just stay away from the candy aisles...
I never get trick-or-treaters, so any candy I buy gets given to the neighbor's kids. 8)

I surely don't need to buy it for me. I'm afraid I'd eat it all.
NONE We live on a state highway, no kids
I keep the gate locked, the lights off and the dogs inside.....no trick or treaters hence no need to buy the candy.......otherwise we have to buy twice the amount.....some for us, a little for the kids.....and the rest of us.

That's not to say I haven't been imagining how beautiful some Halloween M&Ms would look in a tall slender glass vase............
Our neighborhood gets a little nuts at Halloween. People drive to our neighborhood and park just to let their kids trick or treat there! I had lots of fun putting skeletons and gravestones and gargoyles and lights all over the yard. The candy on the other hand.... there is no way I could buy it now. I have no self-control when it comes to candy.

I can eat my weight in candy corn and those candy corn pumpkins!! :cow:
Yeah, candy corn and candy corn pumpkins (love the brown ones!) are one of the only candy that I can eat until I start to feel ill...
Lil J and I just got back from the store where we bought another bag of halloween oreos and finger/eyeball chocolate. I say the both of us bought, but he's not allowed to have candy, so it's all me and baby bean eating. Good thing I have a glucose test soon.
OH MY GOSH, I FORGOT THAT CARAMEL APPLES ARE COMING OUT SOON!!! PRE-MADE AND DELISH!! I always buy however many they have at the store (usually only 6-8 ) and come back each week. I can't wait now.

<taps feet>

Heh heh heh

When I have kids and we go trick-or-treating, I plan to take an extra bag for their sick sibling at home (which really means, for mommy!)

I can now change my answer. I bought a bag of candy corn on Saturday... and I'm just putting the last few pieces in my mouth right now! Good stuff!!
Oh my tummy....

I got these reeses buttercup chocolates that on the other side have different chocolate goodies that make up the eyes, nose, mouth of a monster. Sooooo good.

Then this white chocolate monster that has yummy truffle inside. I swear I'm in heaven ....even if I'm going to hell for the amounts I've been eating when I know I've got a gestational diabetes test soon.

I'm still waiting for the caramel apples with nuts to come out. And the ones covered with chocolate and nuts.. oooooooohhh ahhhhhh.... /drool emoticon
The stores finally got my caramel and chocolate w/nuts apples. Oh my gosh... I cleaned them out and bought all 10. The rest didn't have nuts, so I left them. I've been eating 2 a day. I'm in heaven.
I just buy the snack size chocolate bars - the same ones you can get anytime. Just in holiday appropriate wrappers for Halloween. KitKats and Reeses mini cups so far.... :D
I seem to recall seeing ads on TV for kits you could buy to make caramel apples, Joahaeyo. I seem to remember them being sheets of caramel that would melt down over the apple somehow?

Then you can roll them in the nuts yourself!

You have great recall Ron! My husband just bought a kit yesterday! We have an excess of apples this year from our tree- and even though they are small due to lack of rain- they will make great carmel apples.

Wish you were closer Joahaeyo! I could set ya up :)
I'm drooling at the idea of making my own. Can you imagine the double and triple layers I could add.

Abuckie, I'd be so fat if I lived near someone with an apple tree. I bet I'm the only person who has said they'd get fat from eating apples.
Halloween isn't big at all in the Uk although over the past few years people have started to get into the spirit (get it??? :D ) of it.

The kids now all get dressed up and go trick or treating but it only seems to last a couple of hours!!

Noone decorates their houses up or anything.

Hopefully in a few years time.......

Yes, they were called "Wrapples". We had them all the time. Very good treat. :D
Lets see...

I bought a one-pound bag of candy corn...the kids found and ate the whole bag. :(

I bought a bag of minature snickers...I ate them.

Spouse bought a bag of Butterfingers this morning...half gone already! :)
The wrapples are very easy to prepare, just wrap the caramel around the apple & nuke. Most supermarkets here in NJ have them.

I am very lucky though I can get caramel, candy, & chocolate apples year round at the nearby Jersey shore boardwalk.

In my neighborhood we only get neighborhood kids (not many) so I make up the little bags w/ candy, stickers, pencils etc.
Those little baggies of candy would have been tossed by my parents. :( All goodies or candy had to undergo inspection at home before any was eaten. All candy had to be factory sealed; no apples, cookies or anything homemade.

It was made clear that no candy be eaten while trick-or-treating.

I'm not sure what the penalty would have been, but whatever it was kept me from eating any until after the inspection! :D

Chocolate apples?!?! I never thought of that. Dark chocolate? Does it stick to the apple, or does half of it flake away with the first bite? YUMMM!
nope becasue I WILL EAT IT  We do not get many kids I buy pop any left overs kids get. I buy the stuff I do not like. OR I WILL HAVE THAT TOO.
