My sister saw him with a sheepie (like) dog on the NBC interview last week. I tried to find out what it was - because she said he was brown - and discovered that he actually has a Bearded Collie and possibly a Polish Lowland SHEEPDOG (that's why they said sheepdog) and another one that they referred to as a sheepdog too - but not sure exactly what kind.
The Beardie looked like a OES - but the coloring is different. Either way - it made me like him even more. Kristen |
Beardies do look like sheepdog but on shorter legs, have a tail and can be brown, black, grey with white. (I apologize to beardie people for such a description.....I know there is much more.......having had a beardie). PONS are also little hairy creatures so full of love and energy. PONS are for those of us when we get too old to lift a sheepie or arthritic to do much brushing. |
Hey, I'm glad you referred to them as PONS - why is that? What's the acronym stand for - why aren't they PLS??? I've been trying to figure that out all week - because someone on the Beardie Yahoo Group referred to them as PONS too.

PONS is from the Polish spelling........which I'm too tired to look up, LOL. give me a few minutes...... |
Polski Owczarek Nizinny ..........I can't even begin to pronouce the second word. Guess I'd have to if I owned one, LOL |
Have any of you seen that new show, The Father of The Pride?
It is hilarious. Just a half hour prime time show, like a cartoon, but computer animated, and meant for adults. LOL It's about Seigfried and Roy and their animals, but from the animals point of view. |

One of my favorite new shows! I laugh out loud throughout the entire show! I think you have to have a warped sense of humor though. Kristen |

Thank you! Learn something new everyday! They are adorable - and people often ask me if that is the kind of dog Sydney is! Then there's the people who ask if she's a Tibetan Sheepdog (which of course - there is no such thing to my knowledge! ) |
I don't think so, Tibetian Spaniel and Terrier, but not sheepdog........??? |
