scary! |

I have read this before.
All of my dogs are chipped. So I am praying it doesn't affect them. I know of a few towns in my state that have made microchipping mandatory. I think it's great that people won't just be dumping their dogs off somewhere now, but will this be responsible for the deaths of our beloved pets? That's a really scary thing to think that the one thing that is supposed to stop us from losing our dogs might just be the cause. |
Mandatory here for all cats and dogs now.
I wonder what else they will say or come up with that can cause tumours, so many things they keep coming up with for both human and animals. I think the chips outweigh the other, I don't think it would be all that detrimental to them in the terms of health, at least if a pet is dumped or abandoned people can be traced now and of course if ever one of our fur babies gets out and lost, such a higher chance of them being returned home. I've been through the collars and tags, mine don't wear collars only for walks. Ear Tattoo on my first sheepie and that faded, so at least microchipping is a permanent identification, especially if they get out and don't have a collar on or council registration tag or they slip their collars. At least chips are always there to help them be returned home. |

I would have to agree. We have used them with an all-dog rescue here for two years with no problems. Sometimes this could be the dog's only ticket home. |
