That (blinking ) cable company phone...

Ours stopped working last night. I called the service and they said it must be OUR phone.... I said all 3 went at the same time? She said I guess we need to come out there. AND will Monday between 8-12 be ok? I said NO!!!! we have very ill neighbors and they call at all hours as they had yester morning. She said thats the best she can do. And I said the best I can do is cancle my service. I have to wait till the new ATT cells come this Tuesday and then get everyone the new number to everyone. Hope her boss gets her good for loseing a customer. :D

I know most cable/telephone services always put private residences secondary to business...grumble grumble...

I called customer service this morning after they put in a new modem. I asked to speak to a manager, he ask if he could help. SO OK I told him the story. Come to find out THERE is a EM crew that could be out with in 30 min. due do I am on call for my neighbors. He will report this to him manager ( YEH SURE) And before I cancell my service please call back and maybe they could do something to help or reimburse me. Well lets see what theses ATT cells are like I have 30 days to cancle them.
What would you do?
Well, if you are able to keep your current phone #, then maybe switching to ATT might not be a bad idea...but from my experience, there's really no 'good' cable company. They're all annoying! (She says after having spent an hour on the phone with the cable/phone/internet company this weekend and it's STILL not resolved).
I just switched back this morning to AT&T. I had the cable phn for over a year and am tired of it going down.
Our cable service goes out so often that we subtract a day's service from our bill for each outage and send the company the difference. Last month, we got the bill down to a negative balance.
In lieu of phone and/or television, I was given an excellent suggestion by my mother in law: "Go to bed with a good book...or someone who is literary!"

Boy do I hear you all cable phone stinks!!!!. I hope at&t will be good. All my kids have it. So no charges for us just outside calls but thats not many. Onlything is I have to wait to call ong distance tilll 9PM or pay another 16 amonth to get it to 7 PM
