I LOVE this show!!! I think their family is so awesome! I love how the twins (so adorable!) helped take care of the babies when the sextuplets were small. I haven't seen any grandparents either, but I have seen an aunt and uncle. I can't believe they just had the twins, and mom wanted to have 3, and she ended up getting pregnant with 7 babies!!!! (one of them didn't make it, when it was still early in the pregnancy I think). Her belly was HUMONGOUS!!!!!!! 
What bothered me was the episode where they show them going to the grocery store and have a weekly bill of over $1000. Then they were asked to be on Oprah, and the show said nothing about the family getting help. Oprah is constantly giving away prizes to her audience. I couldn't believe they didn't provide any financial assistance to Jon & Kate's family!! (Or maybe they did, but they didn't announce it). With all of the publicity, surely they could get diapers or food or toys donated? Regardless, the show is additive and very cute. It makes me think I'll be able to handle my kids some day.  |

Maybe the family didn't want/need help from Oprah and requested to not get any. Or maybe they got some and didn't announce it. Or maybe they didn't get any! I love how anal the mom is--like when she was interviewing maids and she'd follow behind them and move stuff and see that it wasn't dusted and be like, I don't know who would be okay with cleaning like this! |
| Maybe they didn't need help, but I just remember thinking how awful it must be for the mom when she watched all 8 children all week, and then had to work a double shift as a nurse on Jon's day off on Saturday. Ugh! In the newer episodes she had quit the nursing job.
That's hilarious about the maid! The mom is pretty anal. I watched the one where they were trying to take a picture in a pumpkin patch with the whole family. She would never take it because one of the babies would look away or crawl away or somebody's hair wasn't perfect. Finally, I think she just gave up.
I also wonder about her tummy. She showed what it looked like about a year after the 6 were born. She wasn't overweight really, but she had rolls and rolls of skin that she hid behind a gurdle!! I hope tummies don't do that after a regular pregnancy. I'll have to start saving for the plastic surgery the day I get pregnant. |
| I admit, I sometimes watch it but those people are insane for having six babies. Can you imagine being 30 with 8 kids? NO THANKS! |
| She ended up having a tummy tuck. One of the wives of a doctor from Doctor 90210 watches the show and offered her a free tummy tuck and to recuperate at their house. The tummy tuck was amazing and they showed her on vacation in a bikini a while later and she looks great. |

| I love love love this show. I haven't been able to catch any new episodes or if there is any,but those 8 kids are the best behaved children i have ever seen.
Jon and Kate do have their issues, like Kate being anal and "slightly" controlling, but who can blame her. I think it is good that she can laugh at herself and that Jon is sooo laid back. They are an amazing family. I have often wondered about how they make it finanacially?!?! her sister has a mansion.... Maybe they come from money? RenM |

She does give audience members lavish gifts, but from being a frequent watcher, she tends to not (at least publicly) give anything to her guests. I've always wondered about it too. I guess she feels getting their story out there was enough of a favor ........I mean, they're on Oprah. I've seen such sad stories where people are disabled and the show just ends w/no help (counseling, aids, etc). They should have gone on the Ellen show if they wanted gifts. She's the gift giver [for every single guest]. Rosie O'Donnell was the same way. |
| It's on Discovery Health Channel. The new season Premieres on October 2nd at 10:00 pm I believe. Love it! The wife is over the top cranky and hateful to Jon- who is a HUNK! And those kids.... adorable. |

I am just wondering how long it will be before he blows. She would push me over the edge in no time flat. While I do understand being controlling she just takes it way too far. She needs a lesson in "the world won't end if it isn't just perfect every second of every day!" I have never met anyone with many children who can't let a few things go occasionally. Eventually you'd think that alone would make nerve meds necessary. I don't think they are nuts for having so many children, but I 'm from a big family too. Shellie |

I'm pretty sure that woman with the mansion is her friend, not her sister. I think that their relationship is just one of those that looks bad from the outside but works for them. Like when they have them talking to the camera together, they usually end up cracking each other up--so I think it's all part of the way they interact together. |

My maternal Grandparents were like that. To outsiders it seemed they were always bickering... but to family and friends- it was just how they related to each other. And it worked- for 68 years! |
