Work is going great. I am doing Research Development/Regulatory Affairs work for a pasta company. Very fun, and so filling-I get to eat a ton of pasta. A chef comes in Mon-Wed to make everyone free lunch, that is huge perk. I also make all of the recipes that are on our packages before they are approved, so I get to cook and eat at work, double perk. Oliver had his first fight last weekend. We were at a dog park with Herc and one of his buddies, a rescued dog named Stanely. He is a great dog, but was sent to rescue after he attacked his sister (I don't blame him though, he was attacked by her numerous times, he had just had his fill of it). Anyway, Stanley was playing soccer, and Oliver got too interested in Stanley's soccer ball. Stanley got mad and grabbed onto Oliver. I am freaking out at this point, and so is Stanley's mom (she is such a nice lady). We finally got Stanley to let go of Oliver, and everyone was okay. Oliver just had two bite marks on him and a lot of hair pulled out (thank heavens he had long hair!). Stanley's mom was so nice about it. She called to make sure Oliver was okay, and offered to pay for Oliver to go to the vet if need be. Oliver likes to nip when he plays, so I'm sure that set Stanely off. I felt so bad for Stanely. He really is a great dog. He probably just had a flasback from his earlier days. I'm still not sure about letting them play again though-any thoughts? My car is about to explode from the 90 mile commute to and from work. It is a 99 Olds Intrigue. It was about time to give it up, but I like OWNING a car. I think I am going to get a VW Bettle convertable. Oliver would love riding in it, and I've always wanted one. I'll let you guys know. That about sums it up for me. Oh, and my twin sister is pregnant too. Forgot that one. She and her husband are so excited. But, since a baby is coming, they are trying to get a bunch of stuff done around the house (finish the basement bath, repaint the basement, remodel the upstairs bath, refinished hardwood floors, organize and throw away, etc) so I am so busy with helping with that. We did get the basement floor tiled, and the shower tiled and grouted this weekend though. For anyone that doesn't know, grout smells like sulfur, really bad... Have a great Tuesday everyone! |

Hug the not so little Oliver and Herc - they are so sweet. Congrats to your sister and BIL on the new baby coming. |

Good Luck with your new job, hope you don't gain too much weight |
I'm just impressed you had time to stop by and say "Hi". You are busy!
Glad you enjoy your new job, in spite of the long commute. It sounds like a lot of fun. I hope you are one of those lucky folks who can eat lots of pasta and not gain weight. Wish I were one of those folks. Glad Oliver is okay. Sounds like they are enjoying their new home town, small fight incident not withstanding. Congrats to your Sis & BIL on the impending arrival of their new baby. Good luck with all the renos and updates around the house. You've got your hands full. |
