Herding Demo Antic
We are running our art booth at the Alaska State Fair right now, and although unauthorized dogs are STRICTLY not allowed at this fair, they do have dog exhibitions including a sheep herding demo. We went to watch this, since we heard that there would be an OES. First dog up was a Border Collie, then an Aussie Shepard, then the Sheepie. The announcer was explaining the differences in how the various breeds work sheep....and that sheepies tend to body block rather than nip....when a photographer from the newspaper stepped into the ring and crouched down to take a picture at dog level. I think most of us here could have predicted what happened next!  Molly (the sheepdog) just ran him over like he wasn't even there! Nothing but a human speed-bump. The anouncer was trying not to laugh as she explained that OES are VERY focused and single minded, when the poor photographer, having JUST picked himself and his camera back up, got flattened AGAIN as Molly turned and went the other direction!
By the way....Joahanyo...this WAS Barb's Molly, in case you were wondering!

I just imagine the photographer falling on the floor mopped by Molly the Sheepie and trying to get up and ... same again lol!! How funny!!
