Intro. from New Mexico
Not a new OES owner. I've moved onto my third sheepdog at this point...his name is Raj and he's my first purebred rescue that I've gotten. Got him in southern Louisiana in 03 and brought him up to Ohio where I was living at the time. Just moved to New Mexico and am happy to be down in the southwest.... I think Raj is too, though he's going to be a bit more clipped than he was in his Ohio days. Cheers. -onur Corrales, NM |

ABQ is a beautiful location in the high deserts of New Mexico. I really do recommend it to anyone looking to try a new place out... That said, I'd much rather be in Australia!! |

| Welcome! I'm about 30 miles down river from you in the South Valley. I know of a few sheepdogs up in Rio Rancho/West Mesa area, others scattered around town.
Raj is adorable! Nothing like a good buddy for walks in the park or a companion out on the deck. Crazy times around here next few weeks, hold onto your hat and Raj. Balloon Fiesta in early October will test his meddle what with all the hot air balloons in the sky.......think like 700 to bark at. Traffic is a zoo, but just stay calm. susan |

I live in Corrales, so my commute to the Sunport is going to be horrendous as I hear they close down Alameda which is how I get to I-25.... Oh well...should be a great experience though....I'm sure Raj will be convinced that every hotair balloon--like every tree--has a village of squirrels in it! |

I'm a Toyota Land Cruiser fanatic....when I'm not at work, I'm working on one of my trucks. They don't really get driven though. They mainly sit around collecting cobwebs..... 
Raj is an expert tree climber. I've held a tape measure up and had him jump up (I trained him to jump up on trees--oddly enough, he doesn't jump up on people) and he reached almost 7 feet with his hind legs. Pics of him jumping make him look like Air Jordan (or, more appropriately, Air Raj).... He's convinced that every tree has this large group of squirrels that he just has to chase.....he's a great squirrel hunter as well....we're up to 9 squirrels that's he brought to the door.....I think he just wants to chase them around and doesn't realize that his teeth kill them.... -o- |
