Click HERE for Halloween costumes online! Bella is going to be the pound hound if its cold enough. Last year it snowed but we were out of town. Cher (who has finally turned into one of those weird people who dress the dogs funny ) |

Zoe won't leave costumes on. We tried to get her to wear antlers one Christmas, and she would have no part of it. |
Try putting on a pair of your child's p.j's. My sheepies are a riot with them on,we sit here and laugh so hard. They run around the house,it reminds us of the movie The Shaggy Dog. |
So far I just got the bandana. My husband probably won't let me try and dress Lola up (he won't even let me keep her topknot in)
But I was thinking punky dog...mouse or gel her hair into a mohawk or something funny. Something I can wash out later. |
An OES owner from the OES List usually dresses her dog up every year and participates in a parade in their home town. She has a great (sick sometimes!) sense of humor. One year she dyed the dog's fur (I think it was either Dead Head tye-dyed or Punk Rockish - I forget) and last year (this is where the sick sense of humor comes in) - she dressed him like Sigfried & Roy's Tiger (after the attack!). I found it hysterical - but my sense of humor is on the dark side too!

What a cute site. I would love to dress our pups up. Last year, I was Pooh, CJ was Eeyore, Ashlan was Tigger and Joey was Piglet. We were the hit of the Zoo. (where we go to safely trick or treat) Kids are great, you have an excuse to act like a kid again. I would love to see pictures if any one has dressed thiers up before. Thanks for the site, Cher.

To dye your dog's hair: Use food coloring, it's nontoxic and doesn't seem to stain. Apply to fur, comb through and dry with a hair dryer. Make sure you dry it otherwise there will be color everywhere. Also, if your dog has a wet mouth, it probably wouldn't be good to do the underside of the mouth or chest. It will rinse out and drip or will fly everywhere in a psychedelic rainshower.
I used to do this to my cocker spaniel all the time. It worked great. I just did the top of her head where her hair stood up. I've even seen little white poodles entirely colored pink! Strange I know, just proof it's possible. If I can find any pics of my cocker with colored hair I'll post them. |
