I held my breath as I opened it.. and almost fainted when I read the amount! $53.50! YES- $53.50 for a home visit on a Sunday- injections of Baytril-Dexamethasone- Vitamin B12 - and Delta Albaplex tabs!!! I spent more than that on my manicure today. John was in shock as well. We figured at the very least $75 per hour for a home vist! He is a great Vet- and- pratices for the right reason. We are very fortunate to have him in our community. Hats off to the good ole' country Docs. I think Max and I need to make a trip to the practice with some "people" treats and maybe nice card and plant. Oh- and Max is so much better today. He is still swollen- but it is getting better, and he is more alert. He even stayed by himself today and got along fine. |

Wow that is one terrific vet! but better yet, glad to ehar max is back on the mend I sent you a PM about that harness thing I told you about. If you didn't get, let me know.
To max's continued improvement, Diane |
WOW!!
Amazing. You and Maxie are so very lucky. I think some treats and/or a plant would be a really nice thing to do. |
WOW is right! that's awesome |
CRIKEYS, does the vet want to immigrate to oz?
He is very welcome here |
I think your vet should get thank you cards from everyone here on the forum... because THAT is way above and beyond! Plus if he sees just how much praise and publicity his kindness got him, he might be even more encouraged to keep it up |
What a nice surprise!!!!!!!!! I am so happy that Max is doing better. Keep it up Maxie boy! |
Unbelievable!! Almost makes me want to move to OH!!!
What a GREAT vet! It's so nice to hear that some vets are in the business truly for the animals, not just to line their pockets. |

Yes- it is so assuring to know that he is doing it for the right reasons. And you know- he just cuts to the chase. No long winded stuff that makes no difference. He looks at the problem- gives us the dx / treatment options- and then we chit chat about life in general and he gives Max a big hug and pets his head... and tells him how good he is. Never intimidating or fake. WE LOVE HIM! |

LOL |
Do you have a sheepdog cookie cutter? Some sugar cookies in our favorite dog cutter with white icing and maybe coconut for "hair."
Did this for our Pyrs and the vet still remembers the big white dog cookies. |
He really is a treasure. You are fortunate to have such a wonderful vet. I'm very glad to hear that Max is improving, too. |
