Has she been around other dogs or pups before? If so how did she do? If not invite someone over and see. When I got our oes pup we already had a toy poodle 1 1/2 days and they were buddies. Our poodle did get along with others very well. |
I know my Lillie is soooo good natured, like the great majority of OES puppies and adults. I have only had 2 sheepies in my life and can't imagine any other breed, both were/ are girls. Daisy crossed the Rainbow Bridge in July 2006. Lillie is our baby. I think my concern includes, will there be any gender difficulties should we decide to get another puppy.
Thanks, Michelle |
that was also my concern we are adding a new sheepie to our group and we have chosen a male. We made sure our female was fixed first and to make sure our male is fixed at 6 months. I know our Sami will be ok she will hang and play even with cats. Our poodle is the boss and I hope the baby oes will not have problems with that we should be ok. |
i have 2 females both older i brough it a male pup.. he seems to know his place, you can never just have one. i would never just have one again they keep each other company |
they always say you can not stop at one I quess it is true. My mom thinks im crazy getting another. And I say yup crazy about them |

My 10 year old male just adapted to us adding a 5 year old female in about 28 seconds. And the 5 year old moved 700 miles, left her family and settled into her new life just as quickly. If yours is good with other animals, I doubt it will be a problem, age or sex. Good luck! |
I want to thank you all for your input. Owning a sheepie is such a great reward (& responsibility). Just needed some reassurance that I wasn't being greedy by wanting another OES.
