Last Day of Vacation :-(
 Tomorrow we head home. I can't believe how fast it's gone. Yesterday was our last day ON the beach, today we are taking my Dad into Charleston for some Dr appointments.
Other than extreme heat we have had perfect weather (rain only at night) and Doug has had his fill of shrimp (I don't eat shrimp). For those of you who have followed the saga of the "tenent" I have an update. I BELIEVE WE HAVE EVICTED HER  She was away when we first arrived and my Dad asked Doug to look at the AC in the guest house. The place was totally TRASHED and is so infested with FLEAS that you cannot go inside without being instantly covered. After flea bombs three days in a row it is clear that he needs an exterminator.
The women returned, was told she could not go in the house and she went back to her own home. She has been told to remove her belongings (I hope she ends ups with a flea infestation in HER HOUSE). The dogs have had a great time, Ty loves the beach and Tasker has been hanging with my Dad who has grown quite fond of him. Tasker has gotten a few flea bites (hazard of the beach) and has started to dig, I've been giving him benedryl but am glad we are leaving before it gets worse. I suspect we'll be off to the Vet on Friday. This does clarify that it's FLEAS Tasker is mostly allergic to. I still have no resolution to what we are going to do with my Dad, he's 85 NOT safe to live alone but very stubborn. He was all set to move to an Assisted living place in Charleston, his brother is there. But a couple days ago his 90 year old brother called to tell us he is getting married and moving from there to Beaufort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now Dad won't go. Will post pictures when we get home. |

Hurray for the eviction!!  That's terrific!! I am appalled at the condition in which she left your father's guest house. Such people are bottom feeders.  Good luck getting rid of the fleas - that can be a terrible task. I hope Tasker doesn't get too sick from the flea bites. You're wise to anticipate a vet trip upon your return. I'm glad you've enjoyed your vacation. It's so nice to relax and visit with your family. |

I love how you said the weather was perfect aside from the horrendous heat...lol...I would rather have rain than this heat! Have a safe trip home (again, if you need a break in VA, let me know!) |

| I'm so glad you were finally able to "take out the trash"!!!!!! Vacations go so quickly. I know when we go to KW, the time flies. Its pretty sad...cuz the regular, work-a-day time drags. I'm glad you have a good one! Safe trip home! |

I am so happy to hear the Flea Lady is gone. That's one less thing to worry about. I hope your Dad reconsiders assisted living. It would probably be great for him. Wow! about his brother. |
We made it home at 9:00 last night, 930 miles in 14.5 hours WHEW what a drive. Traffic was pretty heavy. My butt was killing me (from the jelly fish sting which I think is NEVER going to get better). And then we arrived home to find our internet out of commission 
I'm at the Firehouse til Sunday so can at least post. But pictures will have to wait til later. |
