Pet Mania - Please Help Me Decide
There are LOTS of different events going on downtown every night of the week. I'm happy because they're finally responding to our requests for Pet Friendly things to be added to the town's events and this year they're including a Pet Mania contest. Of course, I want to participate. 
I've listed the categories for the contest. Best of Show will be chosen from the winners of each of these categories. We can enter two categories per pet. Now, Best Looking is a given. But, should I enter BOTH dogs and have them compete against each other? Or should I enter them in different categories?
Bear in mind, if you choose Best Costumed, all we have are coats. So, unless I enter them in their rain slickers & boots, you'll have to help me come up with an idea that I can pull together by tomorrow night. 
The only trick they know is counter surfing  - so again -we're limited.
Do you think either of them look like me?

| I like the best looking category, but was also tempted by the unusual name category. But then I thought - you are in the south and maybe they really aren't that unusual of names down there!
Can you put them together as one "couple" ? Twice the impact in one entry then! |

| Clyde and I wear our hair alike an awful lot lately so, myself, I'd go for look-a-like but it may not work for you. I think you could do a lot of fun things with costumes but how hot is it down there right now? That might be something to consider. |
| I like the best costume idea. OES' are naturally jokesters so no matter what their dressed as, they look funny and everyone thinks it's so unique and amazing! |
I thought about unusual names, too, but I don't know if they're unusual enough to win a contest.  But, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.
I like Best Costumed, too, and Jil just reminded me that Party City has their Halloween Costumes out already. So, that is a possibility, but it is really HOT here right now. Not as bad as last week, but still in the high 90s with high humidity every day. Their coats are about 3-4" right now, too. |

| I agree with rstevovich, but if you don't wanna do a wig, brush baby powder through your hair, and brush it down in front of your eyes! Don't forget to walk around with your tongue hanging out as well! |
| Well, I went to Party City and I didn't see anything that I could make into a quick costume. Of course, I'm sure some of you more creative souls would've been able to whip something up, but unless it's put together on a hanger for me, I'm not very good at that sort of thing.
So, I guess we're going with Best Looking and Most Unusual Name. I'm still not sure about having them both entered into Best Looking. I'm afraid one might detract from the other. Thoughts? |

| I finally thought of an idea! But you're over the costume idea! Since it's for the Civil War, I thought you could have Beau be Rhett Butler and Gen be Scarlett o'hara! Make them all fancy and stuff... |
That IS a GREAT idea, Steph.  I wish I were creative enough to come up with it quickly. I may do that next year, though, since I have time to work on it.
This is the first time in five years I've been home during the Reunion week. I have been traveling for work during this week every year and sort of forgot about it happening. My Mom reminded me and told me about the contest on Monday night. So, I was pressed for time this year. But next time....!!!
I gave them both a bath last night and got them all fluffy with the dryer. So, at least they'll be clean & pretty for the Best Looking contest.
I wish I hadn't been out of whitening shampoo, though. Oh well...Que sera, sera!!  |
