Oh that's wonderful!
So nice to see them with a new website. It says they have a vet bill for over $5,000 for care of one of the rescues... yikes ... and that the t-shirt sales will help to pay it off. Gotta have the funds in order to help more in need. Now, my soon-to-be 25 year old son says he's NOT a big fan of dogs. Thinkin' maybe rescue t-shirts might make GREAT presents for him http://oesusa.com/ChrisPanda-5-30-07.jpg |
They have been trying to raise funds. They rescued a 9 mth old and he has Enerlichia. They didn't know that he had it until he got a bloody nose. They made 2 trips to the vet's office. One required a large amount of blood (transfusion) because the pup lost so much blood from the nose blood. They have been trying to raise funds.
Te rescue has done some great things. My Rheba had heartworm and they took great care of her. If they had another heartworm baby come through, they will be in a great deal of trouble because they just got the $5000 debt. Unfortunately, rescues cannot control how ready a dog will be when it come into their hands. Some just need shots and a new home and some need major medical attention and a lot of time and money. To answer your question, yes the money it to try and recoup some of the funds they spent. |
