Those two times in their lives are pretty independent. You'll want to transition your dog's food when he's gotten through his first big growth spurt and is on a steady climb of growth-- usually best identified by your vet or breeder. Most dogs continue to grow until they're about 18 months but you wouldn't want to keep him on puppy food until then or he'll be a big fatty! |
Most recommend that you change your puppy to adult food at a year old. They do still continue growing after that though. |
