Ok....so it wasn't a toy....nope....in she runs so proud with a bloody, skinned rabbit in her mouth. RUNNING around the kitchen...couldn't catch her. Finally she dropped it and I grabbed a bunch of paper towels and flung it outside. Awww....the look on her face was priceless! It was like, "Hey MOM! You are s'pose to hang it on the fridge!" (poor bunny.) |

thats funny and I WAS complaining about my dog bringing in a mouse today and STILL warm |
well, if you have a garden, your problems are over.......addie will be a real live scarecrow with the ultimate punishment for trespassers! |
Huh. My dogs walk right on past rabbits, which have the sense to freeze when there's a dog nearby. They'll chase squirrels if they have half a chance because squirrels don't have the sense to freeze.
My dogs specialize in finding and smuggling into the house desiccated carcasses of birds and bats, which hide so nicely in their beards. Now that I have the image of a bloody rabbit in my mind, I will remember to be grateful for small favors. These situations are a good illustration of the reason we all need to teach our dogs "Drop It!!!!" |
Ewwww!
Poor Bunny! My Boxer had a thing for hunting. One time it was a skunk. Of course it had to happen at 2 am. |
hmmmm I say DROP IT. To my girl thats yayyyy play time, Then I get mad then she drops it. Sometimes. |
A SKINNED rabbit?!
Are you sure there isn't a very annoyed hunter out there looking for your dog? |
Or a silent drum... |
way too funny wish i had a pic of that |
At least it wasnt a snake!!! I have a big phobia about snakes to begin with and there, one day, bounced Beau with a snake in his mouth. !! |
Well, I think skinned is the right word?
Makes me wonder now. We have had a hawk before in our yard, have not seen one yet this year and they tear a rabbit up in no time. Hmmm, mabey it was not my precious BABY ! LOL |
