| Yeah, I'm surprised.
Summer to me ends once school starts or after Labor Day which is the end of this month, so I always expect holiday stuff to start up in September. It's too early for me, but that's when malls start to hit it, so at least I expect it. They used to wait until Halloween was over at least, but not anymore! I can't wait for the shelves to have all that holiday candy. Yum! |
I've never seen that before  ...it would definetly remind me of the cold that is associated with those holidays

Okay I wasn't exactly thinking of jolly ranchers. You can find those at the gas station down the street . Or are you talking about some sort of special kind that comes out during the holidays? |

I love Jolly Ranchers.....try the ones from Mexico, sold at international grocery stores....Tamarind, Mango and Lime....all with chili powder added!  WOO! |
| If you do crafts and sell as fairs, you need these items on the shelves early. For the rest of us, it's darn discouraging. But then I have a big floral job next week and they want it in autumn colors, autumn theme! Argh, some days it's almost 100 here at the weed farm. I'm not thinking pumpkins, I'm thinking, I hope my summer clothes collection holds out!

| I ran into Hobby Lobby today and they have their Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas stuff out. Some of it was on sale for 40% off.
Am i going to be shot if I confess to buying a few Santas ornaments today? (I'm a collector and have over 300 already) |
| I saw Jolly Ranchers in the candy aisle at Wallgreens yesterday, Darcy... if you have one nearby, stop in. In the only one I ever visit, they have this incredible candy aisle. From tres cher Dove ($15 for 6 oz if I recall correctly) to Lemon heads by the large bagful.
We picked up a "The King" Size peanut butter and banana Reeses Peanut Butter cups to give to a friend. LOL I don't kniow if other Walgreens do this too. |

Did I say I don't like it??? It takes away excitement an anticipation that each Holiday brings. When decorations are up and all lumped together...and so far away from the real celebration. Just my opinion...  |

I honestly don't care anymore if they start bringing the holiday stuff out early. It's not like I am going to buy any of it anyway.

| Oh dear...but its only AUGUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Each year I get really upset. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday (no gifts to buy, lots o' food to eat!), and each year, there is more and more Halloween and Christmas stuff...and less and less Thanksgiving stuff. It seems like its disappearing! And...please don't get me started on trying to find Chanuakah stuff!!! Almost impossible!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I just completed J's wishlist online. Wow, it was kinda fun ...and now I'm in the mood to start thinking of what to give others. Guess she got the ball rollin' for me.
