Kelsey always out first, in first, she rules here, brie just follows. |
In our house it's usually Rags by a nose, Pepsi coming in second and Lacey is always last. |
Stella always tries to bulldoze through the doorway first, but the other dogs don't seem to mind. I git lucky with Sampson, he is a very calm polite little baby... he sits very nicely at the door, and waits until I go through before he goes.
With Stella, I have to be careful that she doesn't knock me down or buckle my knees the wrong way. |
Oh what a mess.....Cesar would not approve. Three at a time usually. First thing in the a.m. it is Jack and Harry. Jack will turn around and snap at who ever is running over the top of him. MO has learned to stay back being the smallest. She will run out at the end and immediately turn around and run back in.....I figure she thinks she's herding them out.
Anytime during the day when something interesting is up front, any one of the three will bang the door open and the other two tumble out. The door doesn't latch anymore; however, the door is in pretty good shape, it has the piano hinge all up one side. . To get back in they sit there and paw the door, bam, bam |
Coming back in Cheyenne is the perfect patient little lady, she will just sit there on the porch until someone lets her in. Beauford on the other hand is the loud mouth power pawer. Bangs on the door and barks until someone lets him in. I dont know how long the screen door is going to hold up with him. The other day I went to let them outside and he jumped right through the screen. Just to beat cheyenne out the door. |
All the dogs wait for me to go out first and then follow. Although that sounds like the nice, well trained thing to do, I can't get out when they're sitting in front of the threshold waiting. There's always a lot of grunting and nudging and squeezing so I can get out and then I turn around and grab them. The boys don't budge until I say "Let's go."
I'm only bragging about this because they picked this up virtually on their own. I think they just copied off each other because I can only think of one or two times that I enforced this and it was when the boys were considerable younger. This only applies when ALL 3 have leashes on. If one thinks they aren't gong on whatever trip, the scene at the door is a lot different! |
