There is hope!!
a dead bird out of Maudie's mouth !! (just my way of saying "I love you Maudie!) She strated to run away& I was in a panic. I crouched down to her level & said very softly "come on back................" She turned and ran right back to me! 5 mo. ago, I would have said "Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, righhhhhhhtttt, she'll come back, uh huh!" |

| Bunnies& squirrels are going to make one of my arms longer than the other! Other dogs , who cares......................but oh, the others!
I think that Maudie has taught US that chasing her is pointless& she has gotten so conditioned to returning& getting a treat. This is kind of funny, although I DON't reccomend it! She got loose in the Mohican river on Thur. All of the adults were scurrying ,trying to wrangle her. My 5 yr. old calmly goes up to her & throws her arms around Maudie's furry neck& holds her there! The wisdom of sheepdogs& 5 year olds! |
