I was walking my dog 2 days ago. I was in the street parallel to our house and I heard a canary, he was beautiful and he flew on to a roof and over someone's garden. I couldn't catch it so I carried on. At the top of my street this man I usually pass the time of day with was washing his car I told him I had seen a canary flying loose. He said I hope it isn't one of mine I got 4 in an aviary, and he carried on cleaning his car! Later that day we went for another stroll with the dog. Same man messing about with his car. When he saw me he said that was my canary and 2 others escaped as well, grandson had kicked the aviary panel in. He then said you keep finches don't you. I said I had 2 very very old ones. He said well have mine as well it was in with the canaries and it wont fly off, we have left the door open all day. I immediately said I would have it, and have rehomed it with a girl I work with who has 4 young ones in a massive cage. I had to put the poor finch in a hamster cage whilst I got hold of the girl. The bird was really hungy. Sorry for long rant but some people shouldnt have pets!! |

Aww at least he has a good home now. There should be some sort of thing like a driving test you have to take before being allowed a pet  |
