We met a breeder!!
Yesterday we visited a lovely breeder who we contacted earlier about a puppy. The lady said she was hoping one of her bitches was in whelp, but was not sure, so we waited a few weeks and heard the good news that she is! So we visited yesterday, armed with all our questions
We met the sire who we just fell in love with  and the bitch they had mated him with. It turned out they had also mated him with another bitch, but didn't think she would take as she has had problems before, but she did, so now they are expecting 2 litters!!! 
Both the daddy and mums were lovely dogs, from very good lines (I had already looked into this from their site and looked at other sites from shows etc and seen the dogs & breeders on there too) the breeders were so helpful and gave us lots of advice. The dogs were lovely, very cuddly and loved the attention, I've never seen pregnant dogs before, but they were both calm and cuddly. The couple warned us they would prob be different when we next visit because they can be protective over young pups. As I said, the sire was lovely, he stole my heart haha. We chatted for hours (hopefully we didn't outstay our welcome!) and they showed us how to look after the ears, paws, coat etc and then showed us certificates, blood lines and info about the dogs. But they advised us to check with the kennel club to confirm that they were not lying to us haha. They were very nice and we know they have been breeding and showing and judging for years. They also said we should go and see other breeders and litters to get a good idea, and said they would not be offended if we go for a different dog from someone else, and advised us alot about that. I asked if they have a list and they said they are happy to let us have a boy, that we are first on the list if all goes well and they are not keeping any pups so our chances are quite high out of the 2 litters 
We will visit again when the pups are 2 weeks ish (if there is a boy and all goes well) and pick a puppy oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh we are soooooo excited!!!!!!!! They said they would tell us as soon as they thought we were unsuitable as owners, they had already turned someone away for this litter. But we are 1st in line so far, hopefully all will go well! So, all in all a successful trip |

I know how long you have waited for this and really admire all the research you have gone into and I know the breeders could not even consider that you could be unsuitable! Keep us updated on the progress and take LOTS of pictures at every visit - Please!
