If anyone knows of a reputable breeder in the Southeastern PA or Southern NJ area I would really appreciate the information. Thanks. |

El Gato, I'm not sure if Tarja is still doing email referrals since there is now a breeder referral list on the Old English Sheepdog Club of America's web site:
http://www.oldenglishsheepdogclubofamer ... ferral.htm I do know of one of the breeder's on the referral in upstate NY that might be whelping puppies at the end of September if all goes well. If you join as a member here on the forum I will message you his info. There is also another long time OES breeder that lives in Medford, NJ who I can give you info for as well. Not sure when her next breeding will be. If you are thinking about an adult dog vs a puppy, you may want to check out some of the rescues through this forum. They do a great job of matching dogs with families. I think there are 2 female seniors that are going to be fostered out of Stratford, NJ this week. Also, if you use the breeder referral on the club site make sure you CALL vs email people as some of them don't check emails for months. |
You're in a good area for shows, as well. You may be able to ask some people there as well!! Good luck! |

I think the movement is definitely to get people to use the site, but according to the minutes of the last BOD meeting she is still spending time responding to emails. That being said, even if they aren't breeding right now, there are some pretty good resources in the SE PA area you can talk to. |
If you are in the area, the Harrisburg Kennel Club show is the second weekend in August. You could always come out and meet some people there to chat.
There is an amazing breeder in Baltimore who just had a litter and is on the OESCA list, definitely contact Tarja for the references or check the OESCA's site. |
Anyone I know going to that show, Maxmm? |
I live in the same area and I am hoping to get a puppy in September. I found two breeders in Maryland that have litters available. If you check the OES website as was recommended you will see their information. Definitely go to a show, there should be a few coming up in Montgomery and Lehigh Counties- it's where I made my first connections. |
I know a great breeder in Northern NJ (Morristown) Shelia Kenyon woolywits@cs.com

Yup. Suzi and I are going. Seems a shame not to go to a show that's only 5 minutes from your house. |

Friday night. Sue and Linda will be here. Anybody else in the area, PM me for details. |
I know I am in Louisiana but I want to highly recommend Sheila Kenyon. She is the breeder that my husband got his first OES from "Wooly Witts Counting Sheep". He was a wonderful dog.
Just my 2 cents worth. |
