What does it mean when my puppy's tail is up. Sometimes I could see it sometimes I can't. Is it a bad thing when its up |

Have you started a puppy class with your puppy yet? i think it might help answer a lot of questions that you have about her behavior plus help you to bond with her. I found our puppy class to be lots of fun and a great learning experience. |

Tail? What tail? I always thought it meant a dog was alert. This page seems to support that and it has some other interesting tidbits... http://www.justusdogs.com.au/flex/dog_b ... uage/552/1 |
Are we talking tails or "nubs"? I swear Jo had a tail she's be wagging it all the time the way her nub shakes (nub shaking is not to be confused with whole butt wiggles which baby Z does). Regardless, tail or nub, is it possible that the pup is just excited to see you, someone else, or something else (i.e., birds, squirrels, cats) |
In order to tell if your sheepie is "wagging her tail" or wiggling her butt is a very hard to determine. Usually the task of "wagging their tail" usually turns into "wiggle bum" very quickly. It is only a split second and suddenly you've got wiggle bum instead of tail wagging. |
Maggie has a big nub and she can raise it, lower it, and move it all around. When she is nervous, she clamps it down tight. I've tried to lift it and she has pretty good control over it. When she is happy, she starts wagging it back and forth. I agree with ARTabone that once it is moving, it turns into a full-blown bumm wiggle very quickly. |
