| Yes its pretty bad 150,000 homes without electric and about 50,000 without water - thats just Gloucestershire and I know its bad up north. I live about 30 mins away from G'shire. Last Friday we had floods in Swindon, Wiltshire I left work at 12:30 and had a job to get home. My husband left Bristol at 15:30 and it took him 6 hrs to do 15 miles. But the main motorway around the area, the M5 was shut down in places and 10,000 cars were stranded overnight. Its the elderly and special needs people I feel for. Most people are refusing to leave their houses because of looters. So despite moaning like mad on Friday, we are counting ourselves very lucky. |
| Oh yeah I think we are all very lucky! We had the floods just couple of weeks ago here in the North. Our house was lucky not to be in the flooded area (only minutes away!) but I had a lot of problems to come home!
Never drove with my car through water so high I couldnt see my lights anymore! I was scared that my car wouldnt pull through and with my luck I would be the only one not making it! Luckily, I was lucky!!! And I feel for everyrone now living down south and hope you are all ok too!!!

| I'm fine! We've been really lucky here in Norfolk and seem to have missed the floods (thank goodness!) I just wish it would stop raining. What happened to summer this year? |
| I didnt realise there were so many UK peeps on here. I live in Northampton and we are fine down here. I have been watching the news and it is dreadful in some parts.
We are going to look at a new puppy today in Stourbridge other side of Brum...I miss our Katy so much...  |
| I'm ok too. Although the news reports the weather in "the North" is bad what they really mean is outside of London! (Rant over)
I live in the North east and we haven't had anything so far although Yorkshire has been hit quite badly too. I would hate to be in some of the areas that are flooded they are having a bad time of it! |
| We are ok, south of London so we have not had any problems. We were watching the news reports and it looks really awful. We've only had showers here, but not consistantly.

I can't think of anyone ? On the news this morning, its been reported that some people are leaving taps on the fresh water tanks in the street and some are bottling the water and selling it on.... what is wrong with these people ?  |
| speaking of rain, we got 2'' of rain yesterday in less than 40 minutes.....the roof of my grocery store collapsed...thank God i had already done my shopping....it will be closed for at least 2 weeks....no one was hurt.......
our dew point is 79....on par with miami.....im melting AND sticky here! not to mention the flat hair  |

Where will you move where it is not too cold in the winter and not too hot in the summer? I KNOW! Winter in Miami, Summer in Alaska! In between you'll be driving. |
| Glad all are OK.
Be really careful driving through flooded roads. There have been people that have died here driving through flash flood waters on roads so they are always issuing warnings not to. The currents are alot stronger than it looks. |
