I am a first timer in this web-site and I think its marvelous. I just got a precious toy poodle, she will be three months on 07/24/07 and I still have not hear her bark. Is it normal? I have only had her for about a week, but I am getting warried about her.. Is not like I want her to bark non-stop but at least know she could bark. Any suggestion |

I have a poddle plus an oes. Poddle loves to bark my oes quite. I agree with Ron. She can get her self in lots of trouble, shes not bad unless she sees outside(learnt to keep curtains close) or hears other dogs then she can drive us nuts. |
Count your blessings!!! My 5 month pup Darcy is always barking. I have to put her in our laundry room and shut the door to get some quiet.
She is a hand full. And welcome to the fourm |

that was the first thing i thought of....lol....lucky you! |
I adopted my OES Violet from a rescue when she was 9mts old. She did not bark for such a long time, I thought it may have been a charater of the breed or the good training of the Rescue who had her before me. Well......Violet found her bark....boy did she. I reminence with fond memories of the days of Violet before she found her bark. lol Now she barks everytime her food is put down, the neighbor dogs come outside at the end of the work day. (that is how I know when my neighbors are home), or when China sees that dasterdly cat, that she has had her eye on for the last four years cross the street, Violet helps her bark both of their heads off at it.
Be thankful for the silence. |
