Puppy Problem?

We have three sheepies in our house (7 - Jo, 2 -Ro, puppy-Z). Since the puppy has been home, my two year old has been chewing on anything she can get her furry little paws on! While the two year old was a chewer as a pup, and still loves to chew on her own toys, she hadn't been chewing on other things until recently. She's been picking up children's toys, carrying around socks (which she never did!), and even chewed a clean Tupperware lid the other day (had it been dirty I'd understand but this one had never even been used).

Ro has come so far from being a wild, uncontrollable, crazy-girl in the past year and now that the puppy is in the house I wonder if his puppyness has rubbed off on her. When I got Ro two years ago, Jo changed and became more playful, but at least she didn't start chewing. Is this normal? Is my baby Ro restless or is it naughty-naughty-Z's fault (haha)? Any thoughts or suggestions?

Ro's got a buddy to get into trouble with. Maybe a little of the "monkey see, monkey do" behavior. They see the naughty behavior and say, "Hey, I remember how fun that was! You're doing it so I will too." Not sure if that's what's actually going through that fur covered head but we've seen dogs revert briefly here too when another comes in with an unacceptable behavior.

It will get better... just remind her that it's not allowed. Do the basic puppy stuff with her like taking the forbidden things out of her mouth and replacing them with a toy, Nylabone, etc. If you see her approaching something she can't have, tell her to "leave it". She'll get the idea that even though junior (Z) is doing it, doesn't mean it's okay.
I just want to say "WELCOME TO THE FORUM"

But I don't have much time, so I'll just say it.

Welcome to the forum!

Gotta run! :sidestep:
Thanks Ron.

6Girls -- thanks. That's was sort of what I was thinking but wanted some feedback anyway. Ro is a good girl and does listen when I tell her to drop something, but it's just been an adjustment to feel like there are 2 puppies in the house all of the sudden (one of the puppies just happens to weight 70 + pounds )
