There all different in the change some are early some later. Here is a thread to have a look at.
http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=10404&start=0 When washing them, unless they are really dirty, there is no need to wash them all over everytime. It softens the coat and takes away any texture and makes knotting problems happen quicker. You can wash the whites, head, under there belly, feet and backend on a regular basis, but the all over every so often especially while they are coat changing. Mine get an all over wash twice a year. I use a grooming spray each time I groom them, you can use a mist bottle, add a smidge of conditioner into the water and mist on the layers as you layer groom. That freshens the coat so no need to continually wash all over & it should help also with the knots at this time with the change in coat. |
I'm going through this right now. Seems like I brush him everyday and he still has knots. Especially ones behind the ears and in the arm pits. I have noticed that his fur is more coarse also |
