| He was very eloquent and he moved me, but it might be nice if he had proposed something, instead of taking up the Senate's time with a 5 minute speech stretched into 25 minutes. But that's the Senate.
Was there anything remotely involving animal welfare on the agenda, or did he just decide that now was the time to filibust? |

| The pace of the speech bothered me at first too, but then I thought about it: how many people just listen to speeches, then forget them, especially if they are not passionate about the subject? He didn't just give a speech; he painted a picture, and then made you think about it. Very good speech, quite dramatic, and more notably, rememberable. |
| Good for the Senator reminding people that animals are HUMAN too!! Anyway Michael Vick ought to go to jail -- I am so sick of all these sports figures that are nothing more than criminals -- I wrote my own senators about him - I'm glad someone is listening..... |
