4 months is a pretty good time period to stay in Japan. I would love to spend some time there.. |
Is your son in the Navy?? |
sounds like Jarod is going great , wish him the best of luck from over here please |
Wow, that is great! |
"IR"? |
See there's always a bright side, Lisa. Shopping! |
That's great that he's doing so well!
Do you think the other boys, I mean, MEN, will make fun of him for shopping for his mommy? |
Japan is a dream assignment in my opinion!!! That's so exciting for him. I'm jealous! |
How exciting it must be for him!!! You must be so proud of him!!
Lisa, it must be kinda bittersweet in some ways being apart from Jarod but at the same time he's now a young man venturing out on his own. It must be wonderful to see him doing so well! Oh shopping!!! That's a bonus!! Lucky you! Marianne |
Ron wrote: "IR"?
I wondered the same thing. IR? |
That sounds so exciting for Jarod! I'm with Ron - what is an "IR?"
Will he have been home a month already? Seems like he just got home! |
Best wishes to Jarod- and HOW exciting!
We lived in Japan for two years and LOVED it!!! Lived in the Saitama Shi/ Shin Saitama area- close to Tokyo. My husband works for Honda- and we were choosen for the Ex-Patriot program. Wonderful people- interesting culture! I hope Jarod enjoys and savors the opportunities. Lori |
IR is "intergrated rated". Means he is an "able seaman".
They go onto mates then master as there career advances. Chris he is only home for 3 weeks as this opportunity to sail the seven seas from japan came up. (and hopefully shop for his mom ) New ship (Tanker) being sailed or whatever they call it back to Australia with a skeleton crew to go into service here. He learnt Japanese at primary school I wonder how much he remembers , at least he can put that into practise over there with a G'day Mate thrown in as well. |
HUGS LISA!!!
You must be one proud mother!!! |
