Sheepie Without Undercoat

I have really been intersted in letting my Rheba grow out. I have been brushing her lots. I have also read lots about removing the undercoat from sheepdogs. I don't clearly understand it (I'm a visual learner..sorry). I am interested, however, in seeing pictures of dogs that are grown out AND the undercoat has been removed. I'm kinda new at this grooming thing and just looking for some help.

Thanks

Angela and Rheba

Here's some examples, but click my camera and you'll see a lot more. I strip Clyde's coat year round. It makes grooming a lot easier.

You really just lose the bulk but keep the shagginess. No one other than an experienced OES person will know the difference!
Wow. He looks great. What type of brush do you use? I heard something about different types of brushes.
What should be my first step?
Lisa explains better than me, check out this thread:

Her dogs look amazing.

I have a bucketful 'o' brushes but, in terms of stripping undercoat, I really like the Mars Coat King. For everyday, I just use a Chris Christensen straight pin brush (27mm) and a CC slicker for the feet and up the legs (the second smallest one he makes). That's usually all I need if I keep up with everything.

One other thing, can't remember if I mention it in the above thread, but once you start stripping, you have to keep up with it otherwise the little shorty undercoat hairs that grow in can cause more tangles.
Jills correct there, once you do remove the undercoat, you have to do it continually about once every month or so as it will grow back and knott faster.

Mars coat king is the easiest tool to use as no pulling hard just gliding it in a downward stroke to remove heaps of undercoat and still leave that long hair look on them. Here is my old girl, all stripped out and still having that long look to her coat. Jill is right too, you don't have that fullness in the coat once the undercoat is gone, but you can have the length without as much work

Just fyi, not all OES have really thick undercoats. My first OES didn't have much (although he was probably puppymill dog) and even though they are related our Rebecca has far less than our Frank does.
My little beast has got quite a coat. That's of course according to me and according to the rescue agency I got her from. The rescue kept going on about how thick her coat is. I see different types of Mars brushes. Different types of blades. What type is best for a sheepie?
I have the eight blade one and it works well for me.
Does the higher number of blades mean the more or less hair that is taken out?
