If it makes you feel better, it's not just OES that need it. A lot of long haired breeds with floppy ears need it. I have a Komondor that needs it regularly and, for even more fun, if you don't do a Komondor's ears, they'll form cords in there and really gum up the works!
Some dogs barely need plucking though. My OES gets very little hair and I find the best ear maintenance with him is little to no maintenance. My Kom, though, I've got my fingers in there every chance I get. I wish I could just Nair him! |
