Four more rescues..gasp!
I keep saying I must have been evil in my former lifetime and now making amends in this one..lol.. 
I just couldn't help myself....  At the rabbit rescue I volunteer for..41 bunnies free range in a room and the air conditioner has died. Those "hot cross buns" probably took their anxiety on the newcomers. These were 2 large white rabbits with pink eyes..(the last to be adopted by most).
Ironically with cats and dogs, it's the black ones that are last to be adopted in shelters. First white bunny had what looked like half a nose, bent ear and nicks on the neck. I had already decided I'd take him/her home for fostering the last time I was there. I was paying attention to see who he/she was sitting with when I arrived, so they could have a pal. (Remember all the rabbits are neutered and spayed.) While I was there a bunny was injured after being picked on...gasp blood pouring out from a wound which I had to apply pressure to to stop the flow. Looked horrible on white fur! Okay that was rabbit #2 I took home. Last min I took another white bunny that had been sitting with the first two..made 3. Return home and recieve a call..our local shelter is overflowing with cats...sadly it's a kill shelter. Broken Jaw kitty whom I've had for six weeks and now recovered will be going home with his new family in a matter of days. But...the shelter is desperate to find a foster home for "Broken Pelvis Kitty" can I help? Of course I said YES. Meant building an addition to bunny outdoor play area and getting another room ready for new kitty. (Pics are in my photo icon) Always room for one more...in this case..four. Am I nuts? |
