He is home for 1 month then off again, probably by the end of the month home they will be frustration and yay on your way tears. He does not know it yet, but there will be new ground rules happening in this household while he is home, after last time. Gosh you miss them and then your happy to send them on there way when the time is up. I think I am getting use to this empty nest syndrome Big celebration and dinner tonight to welcome him home. New rules announced and set for him from tomorrow onwards while he is occupying space in this house, brie is not impressed, no more MY ROOM, she has to give it up for 1 month while her brother is home. Poor Brie. Here is Jarod my baby boy & brie still hoping it is her room |

AWWW!! How exciting, I know just exactly how you feel!!!! I hope you are able to spend LOTS of quality time with him. |
Lisa it does not matter how old they get. you will always love to see them come home and then a little sigh of relief to see them go |
Congratulations! Wow! Four months without seeing him or talking to him???? You're a stronger woman than I would be!
Even if it embarrasses him to tears (or better still, ESPECIALLY if it embarrasses him to tears! ), give him BIG hugs and LOTS of kisses every day!! |
Yay Lisa! I am so happy that you have your beloved son home for a visit. I hope Brie can get over her demotion. |
Guys think they are embarassed by mothers' emotion, but inside they are honored (at least they will be later when they are older). Brie will have to be patient, maybe she will try to snuggle with him.
I'm fascinated by all the brick in your house. Alas, only my livingroom floor is brick. s. |
Hehe Jarod looks like he is telling you...."mom DO NOT take my picture"
Enjoy his time at home..... Poor Brie.....how DARE Jarod take her bed....can't he sleep on the new sofa? |
Woohhoooo....time to celebrate!! Enjoy your visit, Lisa. |
OH, Lisa that is soooo great......
Brie looks like she is saying " OK what's the deal? This is my room now ." Enjoy ............ Antoinette |
Sooooooooooo exciting!!! so glad he's home right now with you |
Lisa - what are you doing on the computer when he just got home???
Congrats on him being home for a visit and I hope all goes well. I know how our beloved children can act at this age! |
Has Brie thrown a temper tantrum yet??? Im waiting for the foot stomping and the sneezing to begin
enjoy the time with your son!! |
Yeah! Have fun! Poor Brie... maybe she can squish in next to him |
Hooray! It's wonderful to have them home!
But they do get used to being on their own. I hope the talk goes well. I think the issues with them coming home for a bit makes it easier to see them leave. Here's your hat, there's the door. My youngest will be leaving for the last time in a couple of weeks. No more coming home for the summer. I'm very sad - until I look in her room. The one we just painted this Spring. She says her apt is always cleaner than her room at home because the apt is hers. |
Lisa,
How exciting that he is home. Enjoy your time together. Poor Brie, I am sure she'll be okay with lending the room to her brother while he is there. Or she might just kick him out of bed. |
I know you must be so excited Lisa. Enjoy your time with him. |
Enjoy! |

Trying out his new wireless laptop he came home with, he was on my ancient one and I was being introduced to the wonders of newer technology. Time for a new computer, sheesh I did post that I am a forumholic, can't help the addiction problem. Now for 1 month I also have another one to play around with WOO HOO |
Lisa, I hope that all goes well while you have him with you...Better than here, at my place...
I am very interested in those "rules"....and how that developes. My son kind of rolls his eyes and grins when I mentioned rules....Then goes off and does what he wants.... He's been home for 3 months, and the novelty has definitley worn off.... Love him to bits.....but still......I find it is a very difficult adjustment. |
Nicole the rules are starting today, did not mind last night as everyone was excited to see him.
I ended up with bodies on the floor this morning, only just got rid of them all an hour ago. Mates dropped in last night after dinner and stayed drinking to the wee hours of the morning. I got up this morning and there were 3 extra bodies on the floor in his room all in sleeping bags. I don't mind as I would never want them to drink and drive home. But rule no 1 is happening now, letting me know if anyone is staying the night and no mates gathering in mass through the week, don't mind it on weekends. But after last time, it got too much with the rest of the family having to get up and go to work. He just got his car back today, it was at my moms place in the garage there, he also went out and brought a BBQ & patio Heater today and has that set up in our garage, I hope no bloody party again with mates tonight!!!! We shall see what happens over the next 4 weeks |
Ah gotta luv the kids even when they tower over us and now have facial hair. Glad he's back home with you Lisa!
Ps...Think Brie could share the bed with him and everyone will be happy? Marianne |
Only 3 1/2 weeks now till he sets off again for 4 months.
Who's counting the days?, I AM Brie wants her room back. |
