OVER 40 YEARS Are you kidding me? $25K a year? How dare they call that a million dollar prize. That just ticked me right off. Joan, too. It would be one thing if they said it was a $50,000 prize and paid it at once. I'd guess all the people would still participate and all the people would still watch. It's not about the money, it's about taking your shot at the big time. But $1,000,000 is such a small amount of money for a prime time game show over the course of it's 10 or 20 (or more) hours of programming... Sitcoms cost a million bucks an episode to produce. Big ones like friends cost 2.5 or 3 million just for star salaries. I feel cheated now. grrrrrrrrr Do you? |

I saw that too and thought the exact same thing. |
heck, you get a better pay out winning the lottery...yeah i saw it and thought ''what a rip''... |
I just hate the blonde young girl who sings. While adorable, I don't think she's a good singer. ...which is why she seems to avoid high notes. One of the first songs she sang is the perfect song to show off vocals, yet sang it low and avoided it all together.
However, I just love Cas Haley. |
I give her credit, she is only 14!!!!
My fav'z are the GLAMZONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( I like Cas and the ventriloquist too) |
I was so glad when the blonde got the boot. teehehehe, but I got my payback when my poor Cas went
My MIL was rooting for the ventriloquist. |
I liked both the finalist's, it was a tough call. |
What a bunch of bull!!! Why do they (Howie) keep mentioning a Million Dollar Prize? Is NBC so cheap that they need to manipulate the viewers by letting them think the winning act will get one check for $1,000,000!?! I think it stinks and by association so do the judges. |
LOL 5 years later and they're still doing it. Must be something from New Math. Let's see: AGT <> America's Got Talent. AGT = AGT's Got Temerity. It's even recursive. (Sorry, programmer humor sneaks in again.) |
I think I've seen every episode 3 times each. Between DVR, actual air time, and repeats... I've got this show toooo many times this season. I don't even want to [esp after the first time] It's usually left on this channel so it's what I see from the kitchen while the kids play ...then the kids actually like and want to see this show [they close their eyes and aren't allowed to look during things like piercings!] ....and then Mr. J comes around and says he wants to watch and I'm stuck. |
