You can rest easy, Harley has been adopted. 
We had actually been working with the previous owner who was supposed to turn him over to us. He kept putting off our volunteer who was scheduled to pick Harley up. We're not sure why. Then, we find out he's been turned in to the shelter. 
We've worked with this shelter several times and they know to call us. But, Harley was adopted yesterday. So, he's safe. |

I'll never understand that. That was exactly the same thing that happened to Bear. Only in his case, the Kom rescue didn't hear about him again until another rescue posted him on Petfinder. It makes no sense to me why someone would put off someone who wanted to help and, instead, take them to a shelter. |

I can't comprehend making a conscious decision to take your pet to a kill shelter knowing a rescue group wants to help him. Some things I will never understand.  |
