Here's a fun list of English dog names:
http://www.i-love-dogs.com/names/origin/english_14.html I like Clive for a boy's name. It was going to be Clyde's name but when it came down to naming, Clyde fit him a bit better! |
I like the name Devon for a boy - they could have originated in this city . . . |
Thanks for the ideas. My husband thought that maybe we should tell you the names on our list, too. This way, you could tell us what you think......don't worry, we aren't really too attached to any name in particular so you won't hurt our feelings.
Thanks again, Andrea |

Jack Bingley Walter Harry Wrigley (this is my husband's - avid Cubs fan) Sammy |
My mom just named her new OES Max. |

Wrigly!!! Brilliant!
All the other names there have been used, of course that doesn't mean you can't use them! But Wrigley is a really cool name, I've never heard of a dog called that before. I like Chewie, there is a dog with that name on here, it's such a cute name |
Yes, I love the name Wringley for the same reason...the other names have been used often. I haven't heard of a dog named Wringley. Good luck with your new pup. |
We're getting him in about two weeks, after I have a surgical biopsy at Mayo Clinic in MN........not looking forward to it but it's one of those things.
We're really looking forward to getting our puppy and can't wait to join in the forum - you guys are really terrific! I'll be registering in the next week or so - just have to get through the biopsy on the 16th of July............ Thanks for all your help. I'll post pictures when we get Wrigley home with us!! |
I like Wrigley too -- it is uncommon and it also conveys the wriggiliness of a silly sheepie.
Hope the biopsy is uneventful. |
Love Wrigley!! Even though Im more of a White Sox fan..(my boss is an ex major league pitcher for them)....I just love that name....sounds kind of British, yet soooo American!! |
Oh, I like Wrigley! Unsusal and fun to say. Plus it can be said in a silly way or serious and sound so different.
Best wishes for the biopsy. |
How about Bugger
?? I am sure the name will come when you get him though |
People have been migrating to the name "Ronnie" lately.

So that makes it Darcy 2 Ron 1 because she also called one Ronnie. I love the name Wrigley.....totally fitting for an OES. |
I love WRIGLEY!!

Wrigley is cool. Ron is my father's name...so that would never be a consideration. Our new pup comes home on the 18th, and his name is Nigel...but Basil was my 2nd choice. John Cleese's character in the show Fawlty Towers. It's an older show...but he sure is funny in it. |
Tessie's 2 cents: she likes Wrigley a lot. Also she really likes the name Nigel - that name reminds her of the English twit guys in Monty Python!
Just her 2 cents......and it's comin' out of her allowance... |

I'm just sayin.... Poor Ron, Maybe one day someone will call their puppy after you! My next one is going to be Henry as it goes well with George. Old English names!! |
Our vote is for the name "Wrigley"!!! What a perfect name for a OES puppy!!! |
Every other dog will come to Wrigley in the Chicago area. |

Ditto!! |
I like Wrigley- it's original and it won't be mistaken for a kid's name. You could also go with a name of a ball player; I saw Sammy maybe even Sosa! |
