Just curious -- what's the temperature of the water?
My dog sometimes gets sick after eating ice cubes, seemingly after a meal. Are you giving cold water, or room temp? -Ron. |
Ron, most of the water is room temperature. Except every in a while he does get to the big porcelain bowl in the bathroom if you know what I mean. That water might be cooler, I'm not sure as I have never tried it myself |
My 5 month old, Curtis, has been having the same problem lately. His food never comes up, but his water often does. I didn't realize what was going on until lately, so everyday when I came home from work and let him inside, I noticed that he had a bad smell. I'm realizing now that it must be from all the times he's been losing his last drink of water all over his front paws. I'm going to try elevating his dish for him tonight. I know that I'd have issues if I had to hang my head nearly upside down to drink! Let me know how things work out for your baby! |
Missy, I have resolved the problem. My vet sugested that I watch when he is drinking, and just tell him "that's enough" when he starts drinking very fast. Well it took about a week or so, but believe it or not, he has learned to take it slow. I hope this helps you and Curtis out. |
