The staff pointed us toward Memory Grove Park, which is right in downtown SLC, about 1/2 mile from Temple Square. The park starts off with a beautiful water and grass area, which is a "leash" area: Past that are hiking trails along a stream, which is the off leash area. It was great to have an off leash area so close to downtown. The area isn't fenced in, but it runs through a canyon so there's a natural border and it's away from auto traffic: Here's Bailey walking with Tim - even off leash he likes to stay close to his people: Bailey loves to play in the water: |

We were there too last year!! Those are very nice pictures. It is such a pretty park. It was dusk when we went. I don't think I got any good pictures of it but maggie loved romping in that creek.
I thought SLC was pretty great for dogs -- lots of dogparks in the city plus a great hike just outside of the city (maybe 20 minutes away). I stayed in a Hotel Monaco in San Francisco -- it is great! So luxurious and yet pet friendly. Your vacation is off to a great start!! |
How cool! Bailey's a lucky boy.
I love getting these "tips" about different areas of the country that are dog friendly. If I ever get the chance to go cross country with the wigglebums, I'll know just where to stop. |
That looks like a real nice park.
Very scenic. I bet you had fun there. I know Chewie would have loved the creek too! |
It's great that you have found such a lovely place and I hope someday that Dutch will be as well behaved as Bailey |
Looks like fun. I love the description of the hotel and what they do for the dogs. It sounds very sweet!
And Bailey is still the tallest OES around |
Memory Park is absolutely one of the best spots in town. A must stop when Sheeping through SLC. |
Gald you having a good time! |
Just beautiful. Stevie Nicks how hilarious. Bailey is a sweetie staying close to his people. I just want to give him a big hug. |
