Quote: The Singing Bee challenges contestants to accurately sing the lyrics to popular songs — when the band stops playing! Scored like a spelling bee, there is no middle ground for partially correct answers. Contestants must be perfect, or they’re out.
Family-friendly, broad in appeal and conducive to playing (and singing) along at home, the show features popular, recognizable music that inspires hilarious wrong answers — and startling wonder from those pitch-perfect competitors who get every word right. It could be funny. It's always fun to hear what people think are the correct lyrics!! I know there are some I get wrong.... |

There's another almost identical one on FOX, too called "Don't Forget the Lyrics." I think it might be entertaining for at least a few episodes. |
I can't wait. I laugh every time I see the commercial. |
Boy, this was lame-o.
What a weak format for such a fun idea. I hope Wayne Brady's show tonight on Fox is better. |
Guess I will have to watch Wayne's version since this comes on during my favorite show. |
I almost liked this show. It has such potential. I even liked Joey Fatone as the host...But I didn't like the show. |
Please tell me you had to look up how to spell his last name and not that you knew his first and last name from owning every CD? |

I actually do NOT own any In Sync CDs, thank you very much! Although I did babysit a girl who was IN LOVE with all things boy band...she LOVED backstreet boys and in sync...so I spent my fair share of time around it! And don't get me started on Spice Girls... |
mmmm, it is actually N*SYNC

I'm watching the other one now. It's seriously painful.. I'm embarrassed for the girl singing she's so bad. |
I didn't find it all that great, but weirdly at the same time, I couldn't change the channel because I wanted to see the songs they had to sing along to...lol |
I liked singing bee out of the two, but had complaints about both of them.
don't forget the lyrics has the perfect setup. 3 life lines, work your way up to 1 miillion. problem was it was so slow b/c they spend TOO much time feeding her the lines before she has to sing. I couldn't get my eyes off of Wayne's hands. They're huge... never noticed that on Who's Line is it Anyway. singing bee drove me crazy - the set up. I also kept wishing they had to sing more of the chorus. Liked the host more even though I love Wayne. Loved singing along to both shows. |
I did not like Singing Bee. I have not seen the other show. |
I just caught the second episode of "Don't Forget The Lyrics" or whatever it is called. I thought it was ok. I wouldn't have been able to stomach all of the tears and indecsion if i didn't have DVR.... The premise was good, just seemed like the two networks caught wind that the other was doing the same show and they rushed to beat out the other one.
I knew most of the songs last night, but as soon as i saw those blanks i would panic and forget. Hypothetically if i was on that show and if knew the song i wouldn't watch the monitors at all just sing from what i remembered so i wouldn't get caught up in the hype of having to remember. Ren. M. |
BLEEECCH to the Fox show. I was BORED!! I get frustrated with the drama on Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader, they drag it out too much. If you think they do that on purpose, you are right. One lady blurted out her answer and Jeff Foxworthy said, "What did I tell you over the commercial, don't answer the question quickly." Maybe this is why Jepardy has lasted so long, it's fast moving. |

The whole suspence thing they try to create with these shows just drive me crazy too. Just say the darn answer and move on. |
