I feel your pain. Beauford has managed to chew his way through quite a few things including the rungs on the bottom of our dining room set. I have never had any luck with him and bitter apple, it doesn't phase him one bit. BUT we have had luck with hot sauce it sure keeps him out of the trash cans. |
I was just going to say tabasco.....or if its outdoor stuff like panda used to get into...do a paste of liquid soap, pepper flakes and tabasco....spread over the ''chewie''...worked great for our faucet spigots, sprinklers and barbeque grill knobs.... |
oh my gosh now all one of us has to do is grab the bottle and he's outta the kitchen LOL he knows the bottle !!!!!!!!! |
I can try hot sauce!
I was so cranky this morning-- but it was the husbands fault for letting her hang out while he napped. Holly |
We tried hot sauce with our first sheepie Barkley.....all it did was give him diarrhea, it didn't deter the chewing one bit. He ate an entire Corkscrew Hazel bush
Bitter Apple doesn't work for all sheepies.....it worked for Merlin but never even fazed Avalon or Scarlet....but none of mine are/were huge chewers. (Merlin gnawed on a window sill while he was IN the crate, Avalon just liked to eat plastic, so bags had to be hidden, and Scarlet gnawed a piece of the garage door frame -bitter apple didn't work) |
I have a cat that loves to eat plastic bags--- yup- been to the vet twice with clogged bowels with him...
S'more likes the kids toys and wood anything- although knock on wood not my kitchen chairs. Holly |
Harry chewed the kitchen chairs finishing off in a big way what Mopsy had started 10 years earlier. He also chewed a whole in the wall - that was easier to repair. |
