If noone has picture can they try to give me a word description of this color option. Would it be like dark hair base with white or gray hair tips like the Airedale or Otterhound? Yeeeeeeeeees I tend to do "out of the normal" color varations. A recent masterpiece --- my interruptation of the reverse color http://www.kkaygiftsnart.com/dogfig/trn ... usual1.jpg Kind Regards and THX in advance, Kelley |

Hi Kelley,
That's beautiful art work!! You know what may help as descriptions are difficult via the net..if you check out the photos section you'll have pages and pages of sheepies to view and perhaps you'll find what you are looking for. Remember sheepie pups are black then "blow their coats" at aprox 6-8 months, as adults they have the grey/white coats. Their undercoats are also grey and usually lighter underneath. Some sheepies are known as whiteheads while others have the eye patches, or ear patches of grey. No matter what color combo they are...the big "capricious noses" (love that description as most are described as having) and big tongues all give them that endearing look. http://photos.oes.org/ You'll be smiling after viewing all those photos.. Good luck with your search. Marianne |
The grizzle colour is the guard hairs, not the undercoat, you would have a combination of three shades there when looking at the individual guard hairs a combination of one guard hair being light grey, another darker shade of grey and another blue, causing a grizzle look of all those shades on the guard hairs on the coat colour. |
