He has a habit of lifting up the mat and pushing it into the corner so he can sleep on the crate floor instead. At first I just figured he thought the mat was a toy but I'm thinking he might prefer the crate floor because it's cooler? I've heard stories of dogs liking tiled bathroom floors for this reason. I was thinking about getting a cooled mat for his create e.g. miracool. Has anyone any experience with these? Would you recommend them? Which Brand? |

Fozzie has ALWAYS pushed the rug in his crate off to the side. Last night I didn't move quickly enough and he started to scratch to push the rug that is in the bathroom...otherwise known as the dog bedroom. This is the bathroom we just had remodeled so you could imagine the delight in getting their room back We also have fan facing Fozzie's crate all day long even though he is on our lower level which is on a concrete slab. It can get really cold down there when the air conditioning is on (all the time).
I also saw one of those cooling mats in a catalog. I came to the conclusion that Fozzie would probably chew on it and get some toxic gooey gel stuff all over the place. So, the crate and tile it is! |
Does anyone have a link or two to one of these coolmats? |
No experience with these, but the Drs. Foster and Smith have one
available--- http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/p ... atid=11111 With Bogart's love of ice cubes, he would be offering the other neighborhood dogs cocktails, shaken not stirred. |
