I spent the night washing and rinsing washing and rinsing. Needless to say evrytime he got a little damp from the rain for the next few months you can still smell skunk. Well the next times I did put him out the back I use to tell him watch out for the skunk and he knew what I meant. He would go down slowly and gingerly and hurry up and do his stuff. |

Poor Watson!! Poor You!!!
I smelt a skunk for the first time ever this past summer....OMG!! It's a unforgetable smell and I feel for you that you and Watson had to endure that. Too cute about his "remembering" the skunk episode! Marianne |
Oh, how I know the dangers of "Last Call!" I had three get hit, one caught it full to the face, the others were more glancing blows. Forunately!!! they didn't get on the bed!! Long night bathing dogs. And the face boy did indeed smell each time he got wet. In fact I caught a wiff several years later even..........he didn't get many baths, just brushings and wipe downs. This was Fox who went to the bridge last month. RIP Watson and Fox. |
Been there, done that! |
That happened to our Ollie (ATB).
He was outside on a nice evening. I was in the house. Heard barking - like someone/something was in the yard. Then smelled the unmistakable smell coming in through the windows. then heard the whining dog at the door! Poor guy- took a direct hit to the face. I grabbed my enzymatic shampoo and the smelliest conditioner I had and we had a wash date - outside in the kiddie pool. |
