Nature's Miracle vs Wood Floors

Is that product safe for wood floors.

My 8 month old puppy is about to destroy my beautiful wood floors with his constant in door potty time.

I'm in the process of installing solid oak throughout the house except for the kitchen and entry foyer which is slate. The manufacturer (Armstrong) told me that water is a no/no. Even though the dogs are house broken, there's still the water they drop on the floor when they're drinking and the water they bring in from the rain. If you can clean up as soon as possible I don't think there is much damage done. Personally I think the floors can tolerate a certain amount of dampness, but I generally keep the guys in the kitchen to dry off if their wet.

You might consider keeping the pup in an area with a floor mat until it's trained.

I raised this question in an earlier post and one of the replies said they had the installer put a commercial coating on the floor.
I'm assuming you want the enzymatic action to remove the "scent" so the dog isn't drawn to the same spot? Geez, I don't have any wood floor expertise but I'd think the safest bet would be to toss down some rubber backed rugs. Just to save the floor? That way you can soak the rugs with Nature's Miracle as much as you want and know you're safe. Or maybe send the company an e-mail? I fear chemicals. If something can be ruined, I'll usually find a way. :(
The problem with wood floors and rubber backed rugs is the rubber can change the wood floor color underneath especially if the room gets a lot of light.

There is a wood floor rug liner that is non slip and not made of rubber.....tends to be the most expensive, but works great.

I wash my hardwood floors with pinesol or murphys oil soap. The key is to wring out the rag really well.

Id test spot the enzyme cleaner in a corner or under furniture, leave it for a few min, wipe and see what happens....It just occured to me, if your floors are sealed, you shouldnt have to use an enzyme cleaner...just wipe it up....it should ''soak'' into the wood....
8 months is kind of old for an OES not to know he should be going outside. There are bunch of posts on housebreaking here so you may want to check them out.

If they haven't worked you can try a pee belly band that basically will make him wet himself when he goes, and it gives them the message pretty quickly that they shouldn't be going indoors.
