Also, he seems go be getting ALOT of greenish goop coming out of only his left eye. Not much goop from the right eye at all. Any suggestions there? TIA |

Absolutely, when Tasker gets shaved tot he skin I use sunscreen (SPF30) til the hair starts to grown in. |
Hmm, if it's green and isolated to one eye, I wonder if he has an infection? |
Yes to the sunscreen - human stuff works fine.
The eye goop can be from the eye, or also from an infection in the left ear. |
When the groomer shaves Izzie down close around her eyes they can get really goopy for awhile. I think maybe more irritants are getting into her eyes that is usually kept away by her fur. That may be the case...if it doesn't improve you need to check with the vet. |
Simone has a pink snout so sunburns in this desert sun all the time. Doesn't help she's also thin haired. The only problem with sunscreen is their long tongue! Be careful with application. I recently found a diaper rash product that is zinc oxide in a stick formula. Each morning she gets a swipe. |
my dogs get the greeish goop in there eyes when they are outside alot and the pollen change i needed to get eye drops from the vet and seems to work it is an infection |
Yes, put sunscreen on them! Also use warm compresses on their eyes when they get the goop. It makes them feel so much better. |
I would check with the vet about the green eye goop. My sister's dog had a lot of it and ended up having a torn cornea. |
If the vet can't find anything wrong with the eye, double check to see there isn't a hair constantly rubbing against it - one that keeps escaping from the ponytail! |
